Privacy notice
This page explains which personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible
The controller of personal data is Key Legal Factors B.V., a legal practice with offices at WTC, Gustav Mahlerlaan 10, 1023 VE Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Send any question about data processing to office@keylegalfactors.com.
What we collect
If you submit a form on this website we receive your name, organisation name, email address, telephone number and a description of your enquiry. In addition, the server technically and necessarily stores standard server log records — IP address, time of request and the page visited.
This website uses no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no social pixels. Fonts are served from our own server, so your browser does not contact third-party providers when you read the site. The one exception is the country lookup described below.
Legal bases and purposes
Form data is processed on the basis of your consent, for the purpose of answering your enquiry and — if we accept your matter — for the performance of the legal services agreement. We are obliged to retain some data in order to meet legal obligations, including record-keeping on correspondence and evidence of services provided. We rely on legitimate interests to protect our position, including against unfair claims.
Language selection by your location
When you open the homepage for the first time, the site asks a technical service to identify the country your connection comes from, so that we can open the site in your language. The request carries only your IP address; no cookie is set and we store nothing about it. The answer is used once, to choose the language, and is not kept. If you would rather choose a language yourself, the switcher at the top of every page does that — and the site then remembers your choice and never asks again.
Retention
Data submitted through the form is kept for as long as it is needed to answer the enquiry and to meet our obligations. Data of clients we act for is kept for as long as the rules on mandatory case-file retention require, including the limitation period.
Transfers to third parties
We do not sell personal data and do not pass it on for marketing. Data may be shared with the providers of our services — in particular the site’s technical operator — only to the extent required to deliver those services, and under a data-processing agreement. Where disclosure is required to meet our legal obligations, we will inform you where the law permits.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Consent given through the form can be withdrawn in writing to the address above; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands.
Changes to this notice
We update this page whenever the way we process data changes. The current version is always published at this address.
